A horizontal fold is set in a square piece of white canvas. The outline of a second square is subsequently cut from the canvas surrounding
            the fold.
This square is filled in with black oil pastel while the fold is kept closed. When the canvas is hung the fold falls open.
The lamination of the crayon on the canvas becomes visible when the fold has fallen open, revealing a piece of blank canvas and thereby
a segment of the original form.
This blank space also pulls the black square open into two segments. A duality of form arises. The sagging of the lowest part of the
square is visually reinforced by a twisting movement created by the gradual narrowing of the fold.
