P. 21

How, through the action of drawing, a form arises that is not identical to the
       movements made by the pencil.

The pencil is moved with farce over the surface of the paper while it surges up and
slides off the edge of an underlying page.
Through ‘frottage’ a dynamic and a static form develop simultaneously.
With a diagonal or an encircling pencil motion a right angle can be made visible.

A line, arisen by ‘frottage’, with an unpredictable path becomes a straight ruled line
       with a predictable path.
